Buhurt or Armored Combat is a modern full-contact martial art with blunt steel weapons and in full armor. The sport reflects knight tournaments from the Middle Ages and armor and equipment reflect the authentic medieval. Punches, take-downs, kicks and so on are completely real and there is no acting involved - see it as any other martial art but with a little extra historical flair.

Buhurt is also unique in the sense that it is a team martial art where teams range from 5 to 30 fighters, with 5 vs. 5 being the most popular form.

The main goal for the fighters is to get the opponents to the ground with three points of contact (e.g., two feet plus a knee, hand, or shield).
